Died of injuries incurred when a tree he was helping take down fell on him

Samuel R. Jajo died from injuries he suffered in a July 12 incident. About 7 p.m. on July 12, Jajo was helping a friend take down a dead ash tree in the backyard of a residence. They were pulling down the tree via a rope-and-pulley system when the tree fell onto Jajo.

The son of Roger G. and Tina Marie (Mione) Jajo, he was born November 3, 1996, in Bradenton, Florida and moved to Bay City in 2010. He graduated from John Glenn High School in 2015, where he excelled at swimming, football, and weight training to be a member of the 1000lb club. Samuel proudly enlisted in the US Army Reserves in October of 2015.

He married the love of his life Allison M. Lipinski on December 19, 2020, in Bay City at a cold, snow covered and beautiful outdoor venue that was perfect for both of liking and fun personalities.

He has been working for Consumers Energy since May 13, 2019, with their gas line construction department. He was a member of Crime Stoppers and enjoyed camping with his friends and family, traveling to Florida and a special trip to South Korea with his brother. Samuel always was busy working on something or a project, especially if it was outdoors or involved trees or trucks. He loved making memories with his wife Allison, his loving family, and their dog Albus “aka Moose.
