Richard was an Army Ranger PV1, Infantry Combat. He served in the US Army and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

His medals include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star and Army Service Medal.

Richard Lee Criss lost his battle with PTSD, August 27, 2013. He was 30 years old. His organ donations saved the lives of 7 individuals.
