SGT. Nafe was making a career of the military, proudly serving his country as a Scout in Bravo Troop of the 126th Cavalry of the Michigan National Guard. Already serving a tour in Iraq in 2008/2009, he was set to deploy to Afghanistan in October 2011. He was a member of VFW Post 3195 in Muskegon.
