Mic was a 2009 graduate of Lakeview High School and previously attended Pennfield Schools. He graduated from Naval Sea Cadet Boot Camp. He had previously served with the Young Marines and the Naval Sea Cadets in Battle Creek and continued to serve as a mentor to the cadets.

Mic served in the Army Michigan National Guard. He deployed to Iraq and Kuwait. He was currently serving as a military security officer at the Air National Guard Base in Battle Creek.

Mic enjoyed police work and was planning on going into the criminal justice system. He enjoyed poetry, reading, golfing, bowling, fishing, boating, collecting greeting cards, music, animals and mom’s home cooking. He loved spending time with his family and was a practical joker. He had the gift of mentoring kids who were struggling and enjoyed helping others. He attended Victory Life Church with his family.
