US Marine Corporal Kyle David Whisler, born March of 1981, in Midland. He graduated from Midland High School in 1999.

After graduation Kyle enlisted with the US Marine Corps and proudly served in both Kuwait and Iraq until his discharge in 2008.

Kyle was an Eagle Scout and was currently employed as a server at the Tampa Bay Brewing Company in Tampa, Florida. He was a former employee of the Ashman Court Hotel in Midland. Kyle’s infectious, warm personality and contagious smile touched many people and he became an instant friend to all he met.

Cpl Kyle David Whisler lost his battle with PTSD, October 25, 2010. He could not live with the memories and demons that came home with him.
