Passed away from an ongoing health issue

Specialist Evan “Doc” Vaillancourt, a Combat Medic with C-Co 2-508, 82nd Airborne Division, 2 Fury from the sky. On November 12, 2022, Evan peacefully moved on to eternal life at the age of 21 after battling an ongoing health issue. Evan is the beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart Noemi, and the proud, loving dada of his son Diego. Cherished son of Andrea (Danny) and Robert. Evan is the youngest of seven siblings: Andrew (Sam), Brandon, Mason (Katie), Kirston (Armando), Joshua (Susanna), and Christian (passed 2000). Survived by Granny and Papa, many aunts, uncles, cousins, military and Lasallian brothers, and countless friends.

At a young age, Evan demonstrated how fearless, competitive, athletic, and adventurous he was. Evan’s athletic career began at Selfridge playing youth soccer and baseball. More recently, Evan’s passion and competitive nature allowed him to lead the De La Salle football team to back-to-back state championships. Evan’s versatile athletic portfolio also earned him the Iron Man Award (three sports all four years of high school).

Evan’s social personality led him to join the De La Salle Wigs & Mask Society where he performed in two musicals as a dancer. Those who were close to Evan surely heard his beautiful singing voice. In addition to Evan’s high school activities, he was equally active in his community. Evan frequently volunteered for MCREST, MI National Guard Family Readiness Group, and always ready to lend a hand to all neighbors and friends.

Evan’s love for this country, as well as his adventurous personality, eventually guided him to join the United States Army as a 4th generation Soldier. Evan is a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, friend and a light of the world that will forever be missed.
