Mrs. Baxter and Erin, My name is Darrell R. Grant. I live in Winnfield, Louisiana but at the time called Alabama my home and was the country bumpkin in our circle of friends. I had the pleasure of serving with Tom over in Germany and I considered him a good friend. We went through a lot of “Fun” in Graf. and also a few trips while over there including Italy. I trained with him for the march mentioned in the obituary as well as a 30 day exercise with the Special Forces in the woods of southern Germany. I was looking through some old photos and things from my service and wanted to reconnect with some of my friends from the unit I served with. I know that its been 4 years since his passing but I would like to offer my condolences and tell you what an honor it was the serve with him and be a friend.
