SGT Ryan Curtis passed away on October 19, 2017

Sergeant Ryan Curtis grew up in Hastings, MI. Ryan was in Boy Scouts growing up and loved being outdoors and camping. He loved sitting around the campfire with friends, exchanging stories. While in service, he found his love of firearms. He and his buddies would often go to the range or to their fields to shoot his firearms. On his time off, Ryan enjoyed playing video games and watching movies.

During his senior year of high school, Ryan enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program.Once Ryan graduated from Hastings High School in 2009, he left for Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCDR) in San Diego, CA. After graduating from MCRD San Diego, he went to Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton, CA. From there, he left for Camp Johnson to begin training in his MOS Warehouse Admin. He was then assigned to Camp Lejeune, NC where he did two tours in Afghanistan. After serving four years and rising to the rank of Corporal, Ryan reenlisted and went to the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL and Keesler Air Force Base to train for his MOS Calibration. He was then station at MCAS New River. After a year with his unit on New River, he was promoted to Sergeant.
