Mike enjoyed using his carpentry skills to help people. He had many power tools and considered them his favorite “toys.” Mike enjoyed driving the back roads of Northern Michigan in his truck. He had visited many military battlefields while he was stationed in the eastern part of the country.

Mike was a member of Harbor Light Community Chapel of Petoskey, and attended interdenominational churches wherever he was stationed.

Mike’s greatest loves were first for Jesus Christ, his family and friends, and the United States Marine Corps.

He was remembered by two of his Marine brothers as follows:

“Wow. I can’t believe it’s been over 7 yrs. since I last saw you. I told myself I would never forget you and I don’t. I remember you and think of you often. Can’t wait to see you when I get up to heaven!! To the family of Michael, I hope time is easing your pain some but I know he is always in your mind. He was a wonderful Man whom left a wonderful impression on many people. I will never forget him or that he died for our country.”
