Allan A. Morr was known as “Mighty Mouse” because of his short, strong stature and excitement about the work he was doing. To his family, he was jokester. “He was the guy who could always make everybody laugh,” said his father, Tim Morr. “He was the entertainment for our family his whole life.”
With his older brother, Bryan, already serving in the Army in Oklahoma, Allan set his sights on the military when he was still in high school. A 2004 high school graduate, he was assigned to Fort Campbell. Allan Morr was poised to sign up for another tour in Iraq, Tim Morr said, adding that serving his country, “gave him a real sense of accomplishment.”
While in high school, Morr was interested in such typical teen things as cars and music, said David Wyrick, his former principal. He also liked hunting deer and rabbit.
“‘Tommy Boy’ was his favorite movie,” said his sister, Heather Matthews. “He knew every line and he knew when to use them to make you laugh.” He also is survived by his mother, Mary.
He was remembered by his mother and his brothers-in-arms as follows:
In my heart you are 26 years old January 21, 2011. In my mind I still picture you as a strong 21 year old. You will always be in my heart, mind and soul. Always loved and missed and I’m always grateful to God he gave you to be my son,
Mary Morr
It’s been over 2 years now. I wanted to say to the Morr family that me and the other guys from 3rd platoon miss him a lot and will never forget him. We always had a good laugh in the guard tower and in the Humvee. I miss you buddy.

I knew Al as my brother -in-arms. Not only as that but as a true brother. Al was one of my best-friends, me and him had the same personality so whenever we were around there were always laughs. Even the days I was down he would cheer me up. His favorite actors were Chris Farley and Will Ferrel. He would always quote anything they said in their movies. I even visited his hometown, girlfriend, and family. I was killed on the inside when I heard the news about my best friend’s death. But I will have everyone know that he is not dead, he is in all of our hearts, memories and will live on throughout our stories. I love u Al and God bless u and the things u did. Lord, take care of his family and tell him I will join him soon in life. Take care Al Morr. Your best friend in the army, Travis Fratis
