Private First Class Robinson, of Detroit, Michigan studied mechanics and played on a basketball team while in high school. Known for his abilities to fix things, he was ambitious in his quests to learn.
He joined the United States Army in September 2005, and completed Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina in 2005. He completed the Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning, Georgia in 2006 and was currently assigned to the 782nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Robinson’s awards and decorations include: the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the NATO Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Combat Action Badge, and the Parachutist’s Badge. Antione planned on opening his own shop when he left the service. He was killed in Nawa, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when the vehicle he was repairing collapsed.
