In 2010 Mikey graduated from Armada High School. Mikey joined the United States Marine Corps in 2009 and served as a combat engineer with the 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, Alpha Company. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2011-2012 in support of the Global War on Terror. Mikey lost his battle with PTS on March 5, 2017
While serving his four year term in the Marines Mikey did two tours in Afghanistan and received several medals, ribbons, and badges for his service.
Mikey enjoyed fishing, animals, especially dogs, working out, bon fires, and hanging out with his Marine Corps. brothers and hometown friends, he was the ultimate jokester. Mikey also had a black belt in mixed martial arts. He took great pride in his military service, where he was a true leader.
